How To Draw Blood In Paint Tool Sai
More y'all might similar
Shorthand Google Reference Guide
I'm gonna type this up while it'south fresh on my mind because some of y'all don't know how to use Google
So YOU WANT TO DRAW
A woman sitting in the grass.
IF Yous SEARCH: female sitting
Very faddy. Very male gaze. Good for fashion or model pictures, non very good if you're wanting to draw a natural looking pose on a adult female who isn't a model and whose camera certainly didn't fucking plough on by itself.
IF YOU SEARCH: female sitting pose
Arguably worse, depending on the use. My feel with "female person + pose" searches is that you get a lot of IMVU and The Sims pose sets, and artists making sketch compiliations that… don't always have neat anatomy and are oft just more than stiff model poses. I do use similar searches for pinup sketches, ie, "female sassy pinup pose," though "posing for pinup photography" and "how to pose for" will give unlike results if y'all aren't finding what yous demand.
IF Yous SEARCH: woman student relaxing sitting on grass crossed legs
Closer. Nevertheless kind of staged looking. Possibly we don't want her studying. Perchance we only want her relaxing. Still, you beginning to see how specific keyword searches will really get you lot results.
IF YOU SEARCH: woman sitting nether tree grass relaxing nature summer
Nice. This is merely a small scattering of the results, but most of them more or less fit my mental epitome. Mostly stock images, but good for gesture sketches or figuring out a pose. Still… nosotros could get farther, and I think I volition.
IF You lot SEARCH: adult female sitting under tree grass relaxing nature summer senior photography
Jackpot. Senior pictures aren't e'er awkward kids in braces. Expect at how much more natural a few of these look? Compare that to the "Female person sitting" search. Google Search tip #1 is basically "use more and specific keywords."
But just… one more than matter I merely… can't get off my heed… what if I… just…
IF YOU SEARCH: black adult female sitting under tree grass relaxing nature summer senior photography
Uh oh. So let me level with you, if you simply google "dreadlocks," await a lot of white people. I spent over 30 minutes adding keywords to this search, and every page was still white people. Breaking it back downwards to "black woman sitting on grass" helped just gave me all the boring pose issues of the female person sitting search. So basically, Google Search tip #two is: Google image search is as White as the rest of the damn world. How do we find what we're looking for at present, and so?
IF YOU SEARCH: black woman sitting in grass nature tumblr coma
Cute, natural poses. Adding "photography" whitewashed it. Calculation "summer" gave me bikini pinups. Searching for POC models using Google image search is infinitely more frustrating than finding a million thin white women, and you're ordinarily going to be amend off supporting POC modeling blogs themselves than fighting with Google all day. Using "tumblr" and "instagram" every bit keywords may besides become y'all a lot more natural, less Faddy Was Hither hits. Pinterest too, on occasion.
But keep in listen that these are real people–especially using tags like "tumblr" or "coma." There'south a deviation between referencing a pose or drawing different face shapes, and outright copying someone's exact likeness without their permission. Maybe also consider liking/reblogging/following them if they're a model or photographer. Utilize some mutual sense. You don't own images found on google yadda yadda don't exist a dick.
Have fun being better at search engines and learning how to draw stuff!

I'm kinda ashamed to inquire this, simply could you make a tutorial on how to depict easily? ;A;
lem0urohasmoved answered:
omg dont exist aback at all!! Easily are generally tough to get used to, lots of artists struggle with it! so dont be ashamed i feel y'all.
and I actually have fabricated a hand beefcake guide before in fact! If you want to get better at cartoon hands I def recommend yous larn the bones beefcake first. Please check out the ones I made, I effort to brand it simple and easy to understand:
- Artistic Anatomy: Easily Function ane
- Artistic Beefcake: Easily Part two
There'due south my guide to the anatomy, merely hither'due south some more than tips that I've noted to myself that I'd similar to include
Starting time off, I'd similar to just annotation on the fingers: if you pay close attention to your own hand, yous may find the fingers are ever ever so slightly curved inward. It'due south a very subtle detail, but I noticed that, despite how slight it is, it tin make a hand expect more than lively, and less strong.
Second, the "M" on the palm! Your hand moves in many ways, and because information technology does it creates creases in your hand. The most prominent creases announced to brand an M shape; this is handy to remember for what I'thousand going to talk about next. (Information technology as well could be a "Westward" I gauge, or to be more than specific a " )Ten( "; just retrieve of it in whatever way helps you remember!)
And so now that you see the M, draw your hand equally a basic blocked shape and add your details. As you do, you tin can see that the One thousand divides the palm into 4 basic parts!
When the hand moves, parts A, B, or C of the palm, alone or in different combos, will create the full general poses that the hands do normally. These parts are the parts that move, with D existence stationary, no thing what!
Here's a chart of all the possible combos. In one case y'all have down what part of the hand moves for a certain pose, yous tin change up the fingers and tweak information technology a scrap to do what you need to make it more specific!
This is simply my method of drawing hands. God knows there are hundreds of tutorials out there by other artists, just personally, this manner helps me the best (afterward learning the beefcake first).
This way I can carve up the hand and combine the parts in any such mode I need!
Hands take a lot of effort to grapple, and you need to practice them a lot, especially foreshortening of the hand; that's actually something you demand to learn through your own studies. Await at your own hands, depict easily from life, from magazines, shows, comics; just draw easily! You'll eventually effigy out a method that works all-time for you. So to become better at cartoon hands; draw hands!! And don't stress over information technology, have fun with it!

Anonymous asked:
I've seen some texture differences in your art lately and I love it! Would y'all listen sharing your brush settings? If non that's okay!
ieafy answered:
Oh, I'yard not sure if you lot meant this as in more textured or less so (im trying to make my artwork less Super Smooth and "shiny?" just information technology's tricky aha)
Here are some brush settings! (i play with the min. size and desnity constantly) I as well take other castor settings in my brush settings tag (tagged/brush+settings)
edit: sorry if this is too small!
the variables are "speckle 2 bltmp" and "Texture 1pt", the "bar i em" makes a foursquare shape at larger min. sizes

How do y'all draw hair? Whenever I try it just *exaggerated hand movement significant behemothic mess*
zemael answered:
To be honest, that'southward pretty much how I draw hair, too. And honestly? Hair is such a complex, diverse affair. There'south a millions of ways to describe hair based on manner and texture. I've gotten many asks because hair, and really, I've always been a bit confused on how to answer since hair comes in so many different forms. But! Giving it thought, I realized I can requite you lot a really quick, "bones" guide, until I get a more specific question regarding hair.
So, the first step is to depict the hairlines. Hairlines is basically the "hat" of your head, and is what shapes the forehead. Drawing this before you add hair as a guide will be extremely helpful with the hairstyle, and it adds to the the facial features as well. In that location's many unlike types hairlines, as shown here, and they may all vary in acme or shape. Go wild, be experimental! Remember that this is a guide, notwithstanding, then once you have the hair drawn out, brand sure that the hairline isn't as visible every bit information technology is here, but drawn equally fine lines instead.
The next affair you tin practise is to draw a indicate somewhere on the head which will define the volume and the direction of the pilus. This is extremely helpful, since you lot tin can draw all the hair strands starting from this point. They may get-go wherever you notice fitting, and you may add together more than ane (although that adds to the complexity!)
The adjacent footstep is to think in shapes overlapping each other. For wavy hair, I like to depict the shapes as teardrops. For puffy hair I similar to depict information technology in circles and ovals. And for directly hair, I like to think in rectangles. It's all very unproblematic: apply the guides mentioned earlier to identify the shapes on the head, making them overlap each other until you're satisfied. Be as messy or simple as you want, and draw them however you'd like equally long as it works for y'all. Don't try to details yet, though, focus on shapes!
Once you're satisfied with your result, you lot may describe the details to your liking. This, I think requires a tutorial on it's own since hair textures can vary greatly. I'll show you a quick example below, only over again, this isn't something that works with all pilus types. And naturally, in one case you're done, remove the head-shape outline. I kept it here merely then that you could run into how the pilus is placed on acme of it.
And as you lot tin see, this method works with curt hairstyles equally well!
In fact, it works for any hairstyle, and you may even mix the basic shapes to get a unique look.
(Ignore the lack of pen pressure level on this one)
Now, I realize that the 'finished' consequence can exist a bit difficult for some to imagine cartoon. Again, I still think this requires a tutorial on it'southward ain, but I will show yous how I do it with 1 of the hairstyles.
(As you can run across, I haven't fatigued out the hairline or a "point", but this isn't because I don't need to, but because I already accept information technology mentally drawn out, it'due south non required for this cartoon. For some hairstyles, withal, I do withal draw the hairline/point, particularly if the hair is pulled back. But for the sake of simplicity, I will keep it, well, elementary.)
Find how I draw the shapes just every bit mentioned before? Hither, I draw very fine lines in vague teardrop shapes, which I overlay as I draw.
Calculation more for volume…
Finishing the look, go along calculation more layers…
Defining the "signal" equally a detail, then that it doesn't look like some horribly made wig…
